Executive Assistant

Alyssa Nevis joined the George & Barbara Bush Foundation in January 2026 as Executive Assistant to the CEO, Mrs. Alice Gonzalez Yates. Alyssa has worked for the Texas A&M System for 6 years. She started as a Proposal Administrator at the Texas A&M Transportation Institute. She then accepted an opportunity to assist the Department Head in Horticultural Sciences. Most recently, she was a Program Manager in the Dean’s Office of the College of Agriculture and Life Sciences at Texas A&M University where she oversaw the faculty hiring processes for the College and supported faculty throughout the promotion and tenure process to ensure successful, well-prepared dossiers.

She is currently studying for a Bachelor of Science degree in Agricultural Economics with a specialization in Rural Entrepreneurship from Texas A&M University. She lives in Burleson County with her husband, Daniel, chickens, and their dogs, Melvin and Layla.
