Hutton Higgins

Director of Communications & External Relations

Hutton Higgins serves as the Director of Communications and External Relations at the George & Barbara Bush Foundation, which helps preserve President & Mrs. Bush’s historic legacy of service.

Prior to joining the Bush Foundation, Hutton served as Vice President of Development for the Barbara Bush Foundation for Family Literacy. She also previously served as Senior Development Director for the Hope and Healing Center & Institute and External Affairs Liaison at the Texas Medical Center.

From 2010 – 2014, Hutton served as Personal Aide to former First Lady Barbara Bush. During her time with Mrs. Bush, she oversaw the former First Lady’s participation in over 80 public events and managed her written communication.

Hutton was born and raised in Midland, Texas. She graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in Corporate Communication with a minor in Business Foundations from the University of Texas at Austin. Hutton resides in Houston, Texas with her husband, Taylor, and their two children.
