Melinda is responsible for the communication and planning amongst the Bush Legacy Groups formed in April 2019 to support all areas of George and Barbara Bush’s public service legacy: The George H.W. Bush Presidential Library and Museum, The Bush School of Government and Public Service, the Barbara Bush Foundation for Family Literacy, The Points of Light Foundation, and the Barbara Bush Houston Literacy Foundation. In addition, Melinda oversees the George & Barbara Bush Foundation Office in Houston, Texas which was formerly the private office of President Bush from 1993 until his death in 2018.
Melinda served as a staff aide to President & Mrs. Bush for 20 years until the Office of George Bush closed in March 2019. Melinda continues her work for the George & Barbara Bush Foundation because of her passion to see the great leadership of President and Mrs. Bush continue through their legacy organizations and to benefit future generations of Americans.
Melinda is a graduate of Kansas State University with a degree in Business & Marketing. She serves on the Houston Area Panhellenic Scholarship Board, the Junior League of Houston Sustainers, and volunteers with her church, Memorial Drive Presbyterian. In her free time, Melinda is an avid downhill snow skiier and college basketball fan. Melinda and her husband, Scott reside in Houston, Texas.
