Senior Director of the Barbara Bush Fund for Family Literacy
Pamela Cote is the Senior Director of the Barbara Bush Fund for Family Literacy, which provides direct support through grants to family literacy programs across the country – advancing Mrs. Bush’s vision of a more literate America. In addition to leading the strategic oversight and engagement of the Barbara Bush Fund, she serves as a field partner and thought leader, cultivating partnerships and collaborations to elevate family literacy at state and national levels.
Previously, Pam served as the Senior Director of Literacy Programs and Partnerships at the Barbara Bush Foundation for Family Literacy. In this role, she led innovative projects and initiatives designed to bolster and amplify the Foundation’s reach and engagement in adult and family literacy. Her leadership guided the design and implementation of educational programs and corporate collaborations with Fortune 100 partners.
Serving as the senior subject matter expert and content creator, she authored numerous curricula, parent guides, and instructor support materials for the Foundation. A former educator, her classroom experience spans elementary through adult education, and she led one of the top Barbara Bush Foundation for Family Literacy Lighthouse programs in Maine. In this role, Pam directed all facets of a comprehensive family literacy program, fostering strong, transformational relationships with families through learning opportunities aligned with their personal and professional goals.
