COLLEGE STATION, Texas (KBTX) - The George H.W. Bush Presidential Library and Museum and The George & Barbara Bush Foundation are celebrating what would have been Former First Lady Barbara Bush’s 99th birthday on Saturday.
Barbara Pierce Bush was born on June 8th in 1925.
She died in April of 2018 in Houston at the age of 92. She is buried in College Station on the grounds of the George H.W. Bush Presidential Center.
In 1989, Mrs. Bush launched the Barbara Bush Foundation for Family Literacy, focusing simultaneously on early childhood education for preschoolers and adult literacy for their parents.
