About The Foundation
Headquartered in College Station, Texas with field offices in Houston and Washington, D.C., the George & Barbara Bush Foundation is dedicated to promoting and preserving former President George H.W. Bush and First Lady Barbara Bush’s legacies of selfless service and traditional American values.
President Bush chose Texas A&M University as the site for the Bush Presidential Center because he liked the spirit of Aggieland, the academic excellence - but most of all - because he felt at home. The Bush Presidential Center now serves as the final resting place for our 41st President and First Lady.
The Foundation, in partnership with the George H.W. Bush Presidential Library & Museum and The Bush School of Government and Public Service at Texas A&M University, organizes and sponsors programs inspired by President and Mrs. Bush that highlight the value and virtue of public service in its many forms. Notable past guest speakers include Presidents George W. Bush, Barack Obama, Bill Clinton, and Jimmy Carter, former Secretary of State James A. Baker, III, former leader of the Soviet Union Mikhail Gorbachev, and top business leaders. Through programs and lectures, the public has an opportunity to hear first-hand accounts of the complex dynamics of diplomacy and domestic policy making and inspire future generations of leaders.
